Benson's Anger Part Two

I was convinced that Benson was mad at Jim Copeland when handing him the WAC comissioner's trophy at the OSU game because he’d just be informed that we were leaving the WAC. But the more I think about it, it seems to me that Benson really could not have been too upset with us at the game. Our position has been reasonable and consistent: We want to be in a conference with those in our region. If you can get TCU, Tulane, and Houston over to the WAC, great. Otherwise, we’ll join them in C-USA. If he was upset about anything, it was with the source in Houston who leaked his pursuit of the three C-USA schools.

Kudos indeed. Copeland has done a lot of work he hasn't always gotten credit for. He'll have us in a better conference position - hopefully soon.
