In this frustrating season, it is nice to see him start to emerge.

we deserve a damn break from one of these developmental projects-a 6-8 kid with the potential to be a pretty good 3 point shooter would be a nice place to start.

Really nice story. Hats off to Robert for putting in all that work. Coach Doherty always talks about toughness and hard work â€" here's an example of a kid who really took that to heart.

Good job, Robert â€" continued success.

Can he be Kyle Singler-type player? With some post moves and 3-pt range....interesting to see his development.

Nyakundi has become my favorite player on this team....I love a player who can spot up behind the arc and drill it.

Sounds like props should go to S & C coach Chad Chronister for helping RK get in shape. Also, props to RK for growing up & getting serious about basketball.

Most definitely!

I was mainly just razzing the General since he is so Anti-Doherty yet he linked an article where a player was giving him praise.

This is why I love SMU fans. Only we can compare a Robert Nyakundi to a Kyle Singler...

Did Robert Nykundi get hit by a Bus or something? Zero points in 12 minutes-lucky we had Ryan Harp to throw in there for 23 minutes. Harp's 2 points were essential in reaching 16 FGs made in 40 minutes

We need Bobbi or someone from PonyFans to sit down with Doherty and have a nice long chat on his theory of substitutions...Does he have pre determined times when players are going in? Is it all on the fly?

I would really like to know because I have no clue. I wish he would pick his best five that play together the best and stick with them and then go about three more deep and sparingly when needed. He is driving me nuts with his subbing pattern and how a player can get so many minutes one game and then keep his warmups on all night the next game.

This is my main and really only complaint on his X and O work and would love to hear his reasoning.

It was certainly great to see that Nyakundi used all that workout time for 12 minutes and 2 shots before getting yanked.

How would we know if Nyakundi will be this kind of player if he doesn't stay on the floor? If Doherty keeps talking about him being one of our best shooters, then let him do it game in and game out.
