Besides being a veteran presence, is this really a good thing? I would rather have some younger guys get back there. He didn't live up to the hard hitting rep, and got burned a bunch...

Interesting, I heard he'd been called up to active duty by Zack Sledge as a platoon leader.

I found that story about the nine players being released from their scholarship. Dennis was not among them. I forgot what his situation was.

he sat out his first year here with an injury - he was waiting on an appeal from the NCAA to see if they would give him an extra year which they apparently did -

Never understood this. Why did he need to appeal? He didnt play at all that year, it should have been just a normal redshirt.

i am not sure of this but i believe he was hurt and missed a season when he was in JC

interesting, that's the first time i ever heard that. I looked up his JC stats when i first heard this, but dont remember them now. I'll check again when I have time.
