although considered, we were not picked as the pillow fight of the week, but have a good chance of getting off this list and returning UTEP to their rightful spot with a win Saturday. Looking forward to this one.

Does anyone see this as a potential ambush game? Palmer's a freshman, but he's a big kid with a big arm. If he gets hot, he might be immature enough to believe he's really good - and then have a big day.
I see a game that's closer than we'd like, but a win, nonetheless.

I am afraid of a let down. We haven't been favored all year and the players may believe that this one is in the bag. We are not good enough to take ANYONE for granted.
Re: Snubbed by ESPN
How could we possibly take anyone for granted? Do we now have the big-head because we are favored? I have heard it all.

I see SMU coming out slobbering like wild dogs Saturday. I also see Richard Bartel having a big game. Remember last year, he sat for ages behind Tate Wallis - when he finally got in there, he lit up LaTech. Getting benched after the OSU debacle couldn't have been fun. I bet Bartel goes wild Saturday.

With Palmer gone, SMU needs to be extra aware of a let down. As an earlier poster said, we can't afford to take anybody for granted.Originally posted by Pony Up:
