This would be OUTSTANDING. Not sure-but I hope the kid is eligible-I think actually UCLA is reported to be kind of hard to get into for Transfers-I remember a lot of discussion about this during the Neuheisal hiring and when we were going after the QB who backed out on SMU for UCLA. It maybe his grades weren't good enough to transfer to UCLA but he is eligible to transfer to another Division 1A school. That's what many are speculating in that linked thread.

Rivals has him as a 3-star

Scout has him as a 4-star

This is the same thing that happened at Hawaii. JJ will get kids that fit his system, but not have the "stars". And then also sign big name JUCO's. Check out Hawaii's commits since '02. Lets not count chickens here, but hopefully we can start scoring some JUCOS

2009 Ponyfans Rookie of the Year
quote from one of the posters in response to the blog that I hope/wish was true:
If you believe a local football player with pro ambitions would turn down the chance to be a starter at UCLA to play at New Mexico State, SMU or Ohio, let me sell you some of my ocean front property in Nevada. What these schools do have in common is that they all will let anyone in.

Would instantly transform the defense. Would make an outright weapon out of the defensive line, not simply allow for quality depth. THIS is the kind of defensive position that is the missing piece currently.

I don't think he's from SoCal. I think he's from the just plain So.

This years class is not filled yet.
Spoken as if you either have high hopes for this year's class, or you know something that prompts you to pipe up about it...or both.
Anything to share, oz?

I am not privy to inside G2, but of the player signed, did we know that the coaches were going after them. I assume that the coaches will be looking for more DT. It is obvious the team is thin in that position.
