I wonder how many of these were on the walls of SMU dorms and mens dormitories throughout the country.

My thoughts and prayers are with her friends and family...She was the epitomy of the 70s glamour look and was really a much better actress than she got credit for.

I enjoyed her in her more recent smaller roles, such as "The Apostle" and "Dr. T and the Women" and of course, who can forget her in the legendary "Logan's Run" which was actually a role that predated Charlie's Angels. Damn, when I was a kid I thought "Logan's Run" was the greatest movie ever made.......

She was our kitchen poster in my law school apartment. Sorry to hear about her untimely death. Man, does that make me feel old all of the sudden.

She was nominated for an Emmy and Golden Globe award for her portrayol of a battered wife in the 1984 movie, "The Burning Bed".

It sounded like her cancer -- like all cancer does -- got really bad in the end. Not afraid to say I had a huge crush on her and was really upset when she left the cast of Charlie's Angels.

God Rest our Texas girl. Think she was from south Texas.

Too young.

The reports I have seen indicate that she had anal cancer. This is not a common type of cancer. There are about 4,000 new cases a year with about 600 deaths annually. This compares to about 150,000 colon cancers diagnosis a year with 50,000 deaths a year.

Risk factors for anal cancer include:
Being over 50 years old.
Being infected with human papillomavirus (HPV).
Having many sexual partners.
Having receptive anal intercourse (anal sex).
Frequent anal redness, swelling, and soreness.
Having anal fistulas (abnormal openings).
Smoking cigarettes.
Immunosuppression.
Pelvic irradiation.

Survival depends on the progression of the cancer at time of diagnosis and it can be pretty high (range of 56% to 86% in some reports).

It is interesting that she had a relatively uncommon cancer. RIP. She was one hot babe in her day.

Michael Jackson has apparently passed away today, too
At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

That is a shame about Michael Jackson. He lived the ultimate American Dream. He went from a poor black boy to a rich white women. Only in America.

She was from Corpus Christi and in high school dated a gent by the name of Mike Blaine who, if I'm not mistaken went to SMU.

Don't know about Mike Blaine, but Farrah was indeed from CC and attended Ray High School.

To make this SMU related, former SMU great and NFL Hall of Famer Raymond Berry also attended Ray High School.
