Found George Gimarc's website. He is selling CD's with old KZEW radio ads on them. What is interesting to me about the list is the concerts at SMU.

At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

The greatest rock and roll station of all time..........Loved that logo..........In the 70's, a typical set of music would include an Eagles' deep cut, Tower of Power, Ray Wylie Hubbard, James Gang, Isley Brothers, Stealer's Wheel, and Neil Young...............

How about the commentary from Hunt James? Many years ago, Rhynes replayed one of those on The Ticket. Radio gold.

Loved KZEW and George,
Me and my sister growing up really got into alternative music and his "Rock and Roll Alternative" show that was on every sunday night on KZEW was the holy grail of our music, we listened religously every week.
He was great when he moved to the EDGE as well, too bad they got rid of him...
Oddly enough, just last month, I went and saw Peter Murphy (lead singer of Bauhaus) at the Lakewood Theater and George introduced the opening band, first time I had seen him in years.
Good times!
