Yeah they keep showing that. I love how instead of showing game highlights they just show that block with no helmet from 3 different angles

They should be showing this hit as one of the problems that is occurring in football these days. Glorifying a hit by a guy who is risking paralysis! Stupid. This is a perfect example of why we need better rules to protect the players. I propose suspending a coaches pay for a year if one of his players does something like this and that the player lose his scholarship. These coaches are exploiting these guys. I like the physical narture of football but this shouldn't be glamorized!

I'm glad the guy didn't get hurt, because I don't wish injury on anyone, but if someone makes a block like that without a helmet, it would have been hard to feel sorry for him. It should be a rule that if you lose your helmet and hit someone, you get 15 yards and loss of a timeout, or kicked out of the game or something. That guy was lucky as hell that he wasn't really hurt making an idiotic play.

In Rugby we didn't wear anything protective but a jock!

Thankfully Blocking is not allowed but you learn to tackle with your head up and wrapping the legs between the knees and waist very quickly.

Probably why most Rugby players aren't the brightest bulbs on the planet.

I was one of the smart ones - I played a "Wing" as far away from the Forwards as I could get!

I can't recall the play you are talking about. Which one was it?

The TCU fans around us were yelling that our players were classless for not taking it easy on him, when he wen't diving in head first with no helmet. He knew the risk and he got knocked silly. Nothing dirty on that play.

If I recall it was a block on the punt return for a TD.

Thanks, finally found it.

That guy is a freaking idiot. Any injury was his own damn fault. Any Froggie who says otherwise doesn't have the sense God gave that idiotic player. Who in their right mind would go headfirst into a guy WITH a helmet on? That's just ridiculous. I'd like to say I admire his spirit and courage (like the MTN announcers did), but that would be condoning such behavior.

Tyler Jones ??? is #41...I thought it was #42 for SMU on the punt return TD play that ESPN kept showing getting blocked.
