Ok, so I don't read the board like I used to during law school, but I drop by occasionally and this time I see all this talk about June Jones getting rid of Peruna for the new mustangs being donated (is it really a replacement? I thought it was just "in addition to"), and changing the band and the fight song.
Seriously? Is this all just rumor?
I have an idea - how about winning more games? I don't think the fight song, or the size of the equine mascot has anything to do with the program's success overall. I was at the TCU game, and it was a great college ball environment until the rain hit. We lost b/c we made mistakes and didn't play as well as TCU, not b/c of the song the band was playing.
I'm down w/ adding the mustangs, or tweaking the band, but some stuff is tradition, and no amount of change to those items will put a "W" in the win/loss column.
Just my thoughts...
Mascot, band, etc.

I wouldn't mind seeing the band go to the scramble format i.e. Rice, Stanford, UVa and the Ivies.

that's right let's be like everybody else.
BTW it is called a scatter band not a scramble band.
