Which 80's car would you pick
So let's say I wanted to buy an 80's car to have as a second car. Which of these awesome cars would you pick and why? Bonus points if you actually owned one of these.
Sent from my Motorola brick.

F-in-Law still has a 1980 Mercedes diesel sedan. Those things don't die.

The Grand National without a doubt. If you can get an '86, then this shouldn't even be a topic
The 80s collectively sucked for American performance cars. The 86 Grand National was Detroit's middle finger extend to OPEC and the EPA. With muscle-car straight line performance and rough and tough looks, it was a breath of fresh air when contrasted with the crap that was otherwise available.

Owned the Benz, Bronco and the Bimmer. However, my favorites (not 80's vintage) are my old E-type Jag roadster, Morgan +8 and Aston Martin DB2.

If I am getting one in like-new condition, the DeLorean purely for novelty value.
If I am getting one in 20+ year old condition, the diesel, as it's probably the only one that will run when I try to start it.

I had the Bronco and the 4WD sucked, plus you had to manually change into it by getting out and turning a knob on the wheels if I recall.

I got a 1983 BMW 320i when I graduated from SMU. I kept it 13 years, it had 175,000 miles on it when I sold it and as far as I know it is still on the road. Great little car!

This is what I would go with - classic 1986 Toyota Land Cruiser

My cousin in Austin has an 80's Land Cruiser, it was her dream car, haha. Not sure if it still runs, but it was pretty sweet.
I should've added this to the list of choices as well.

Porsche 928, you can find these in decent shape now for less than 10k.

I voted for the 80s MB. I don't own a 80s MB but I do own and drive everyday a '78 MB turbo diesel. And if it is still running next sumer, my wife and I will celebrate our 25th in the same car we left the church in and went on our honeymoon in.

Wow if you hadn't spent all that money on a Mercedes you probably could have afforded to go on your honeymoon in a hotel.
My early congrats on 25.
