Re: When would we start playing in C-USA
It all starts with the Big East. With Miami and Va Tech leaving next year, the feeling is that Louisville and Cincy will jump soon. CUSA will have enough remaining members to pay the 2004 season, but If BC leaves for the 2005 season, expect the BE to raid CUSA for an 8th member and that woauld mean any CUSA invite woauld probably be for the 2005 season, although it could be 2006 if the BC to ACC move is delayed until then.
Now that CUSA has made it's intentions to go to 12 "all sports" mambers, I will be surprised if the MWC doesn't decide to follow suit. I think that's going to mean the end of the WAC, with Hawaii, Fresno, Boise and Nevada going to MWC. I do feel bad for UTEP and La Tech, but assume they can catch on with the SunBelt and might actually help that conference survive, which would be good for UNT.

SMU is signed with the WAC till the end of the 2004 Season
If SMU were to be invited we would join Conference USA on July 1st,2005

Too bad we can't make the move for 2004.
