compare the roster with the participation statistics both of which are on line and you can figure it out. Of course, this does not account for any grey shirts.

Of the scholarship guys:

Fontana, Favreau, Atchison, Emshoff, Gamble, Joubert, McDade, Scott

I think.

I thought Joubert played this season, but thanks for the other names.

I was hoping I wouldn't have to go through that exercise. Main reason I was hoping someone has a list.

Which of the redshirts named is expected to have the most impact next year?

And the transfer QB, McDermott - where is he likely to be in the depth chart next year?

Somewhat related question. Earlier in the year at leat two walk-ons, Carlille and Kling I believe, got some attention on this message board. Where there other walk-ons and are any of them expected to be on the team next year?

looks like the RS guys will provide some more OL depth and maybe some help in the defensive secondary...but I don't see any obvious playmakers coming in. Hope I'm wrong and someone like McDade turns out to be a mighty mite for us. Need DJ to respond the way Sanders did to his suspension and come back strong next season.

Sounds like the 3 OL will add some much needed depth along the line. That's what really promoted this thread to begin with. We don't seem to have a lot of OL in our commitments list, so I assumed we had a few redshirting this year.

Any DL redshirts? We seem a little light on that front.

In the secondary, the three best redshirts are safeties Jay Scott and Robert Lloyd and corner Jeremy Gray.

Scott is the only one on scholarship but the others were brought in with the promise of getting one after the first year.

Scott will likely see action early at safety as he continues to get bigger and become more dedicated. He's already put on about 15 pounds and is working on getting stronger. Good instincts and will be contributing when he has the spring and fall reps.

Lloyd is the strongest of the freshmen at skill positions on offense or defense. Benching 330, with a big vertical, and very fast, he should see a lot of time with special teams next year as well as at the nickelback. Was injured in August or he would have been a regular on the special teams this year.

Gray has tremendous fundamentals at the corner and is very smart. Tough competitor with good speed, he should also see time at the corner during 2010. Unflappable and currently gives the starters a tough time during practice.

Additonally, these three are together a lot and could really be part of a strong unit in two years.

Dont forget the 2 Greyshirt OL coming in. Ben Hughes and Christian Miller. So we will have those 5. Not to mention the 1 or 2 OL coming in with the 2010 class. SHould provide more depth.

We sure will need some depth at DL in order to improve next year. Hard to get true freshmen ready to play.We will need help at NG for sure. Any redshirts there...Whatever happened to DL Zac Thomas ? I don't remember him playing this year.

I heard Thomas hurt his back in preseason.

I believe that Zach Boyd and Zac Thomsa were redshirts.
