Greetings Mustangs!
Just wanted to send some (belated) congratulations on your bowl bid. SMU returning to the postseason is by far the best story of the year no one is talking about.

At the risk of being a shameless self-promoter, I'm a contributor to a Wolf Pack blog called Pistol Whipping the WAC that you can check out. There's also Nevada Fanatic and the Reno Gazette-Journal's blog (scroll down until you see its most recent headlines.
Re: Greetings Mustangs!
Pack Backer, my brother went to UNR (when it was known there) and I remember going to watch a couple of Nevada High School state championships between my alma mater Las Vegas Western playing Hug and McQueen. State championship game always used to be played on the Wolf Pack field -- when it had grass.
Is Wooster still the power team up in the North?
Looking forward to the game.

People are talking, even in PHX. Went to my car dealer for service and HE talked about SMU all the way back to the car. I was in for reg. service.
This is not a thing that is very far from the surface. People are reluctant to talk about SMU. It used to be, they would ask about my cap, Boise St. ??????? They are getting it.

Wooster got demoted to 3A a few years ago. They still put together good teams now and then, but they're nowhere near as good as they were when I moved here in 1997. The power teams now are Reed, Bishop Manogue, McQueen and Hug. On the whole, the South is where all the state power is right now in high school football.
