Belated Congratulations!

Post by Bluto Blutarsky »

Great win against Nevada in the Hawaii Bowl. It's been a long time since SMU experienced something positive on the gridiron, but your administration bit the bullet and brought in someone that could perform the turnaround that was necessary. Great job by coach Jones.

Are we seeing the re-birth of the Pony Express?

As a North Texas fan, it's tough to see TCU and now SMU forge ahead in football. Someday maybe North Texas will fix it's coaching problems.

Again, congratulations!

Thanks for the nice words. My family watched as many NT games on t.v. as possible---when our man, Tune, was going to be the QB. I was hoping that NT would get rid of Dodge after another horrible season so that maybe Nathan would have a real chance to be the starter---knowing him the way I do, I know that NT would be a better program if he were the QB---he has the mentality to go w/his arm.

We readily accept your congratulations as they come from a fan who also knows the true definition of frustration when it comes to a football program.

UNT has enjoyed more success in their recent history than has SMU. I seem to recall a trip (or trips) to the New Orleans Bowl. Would love to see both SMU and UNT join TCU as relevant college football programs and would like to see us all playing each other in a Metroplex Mayors Trophy type of event. Would be good for the home team's attendance in those games as well.

Our constant obsession with NTSU must have been too much for them to handle.
