Everything really runs a distant second because my alma mater got to and won its bowl game. There is no feeling that can replace that.

Pulling hard for the Golden Gophers tonight against the Cyclones. I pray their wheels off offense will have an out-of-body experience. It might be an appropriate time because they play on the final day of the year I lost my father.

BTW, my girls know the Minnesota Rouser word for word!!! But they also know the alma mater's fight song and Varsity word for word.

Hey GSP- I'll be pulling for the Golden Gpphers. Used to know the fight songs of all the big10 schools. Hope you will reciprocate and root for the Buckeyes in the Rose Bowl. I am afraid they are going to need a lot of help since TP is hurting.

Oh well, most important is that we have turned the corner and can look forward to many more bowl games. Bowl games for my teams, trophies for my coach.

The Big 10 should be left out of the next round of BCS negotiations. These teams have good history, but that's it. They get slaughtered in their non-conference games and ditto for bowls. It's painful just watching it.

Just because your school has 50K students, doesn't make it good at football.
