SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.

If his physical size matched the fire in his belly, he'd be looking at a Day 1 draft selection. That guy's made the most out of his gifts, and we're all fortunate he did so at SMU. I've only seen a handful of his games, but he's a pleasure to watch.
