Can schools demanding high academic standards...?
I'll admit that I am a new SMU fan thanks to my kids acceptance to the school, and I am a new season ticket holder, so I don't know as much about the program then all of you do. But I did graduate from a school that held academics to a high standard also and lost some recruits because of it.
This is an interesting question. I feel like programs can't win if they don't bend the requirments a little, but I don't like that thats the way it is.

See SMU's past twenty-five years for proof that you are wrong.

Re: Can schools demanding high academic standards...?
I wish that SMU's professors and faculty could get over the fact, and realize that this is not an Ivy League school. I am not a recent grad, but it couldn't have changed that much since I left. The courses and majors are not that difficult. I actually got out of there with two degrees without much grief. My recruiting class had a 100% graduation rate. We won 7 games. Do the math.

Man to Man by Gary Allen
You're throwin' around a lot of serious accusations
Ain't too hard to tell what you're insinuatin'
You think I'm the one who stole her away
And if not fo rme she'd still be yours today
We're both men here so why play games
Why don't we call a spade a spade
Man to man
Tell me the truth, tell me
Were you ever there when she needed you
Man to man
Look me in the eye, tell me
If you really loved her
Why'd you make her cry
Man to man
Who cheated who
You're the one to blame
Tell me it ain't true
Man to man
Man to man
Well you think al you anger is justified
Me, I think, it's just your wounded pride
What did you really think she was gonna do
She's a real woman, not a doormat for you
You want her back, but it's too late
Why don't we just cut to the chase
Man to man
Tell me the truth, tell me
Were you ever there when she needed you
Man to man
Look me in the eye, tell me
If you really loved her
Why'd you make her cry

This is an interesting question. I feel like programs can't win if they don't bend the requirments a little, but I don't like that thats the way it is.
Max, i thought the mods told you to stop posting links to your blog.
Ok this is getting ridiculous...I agree with Dutch on THIS ONE POST by him totally

They did and I haven't. The mods can delete the links to my page others post whenever they want. I post in the ponystampede.com forums with Josh Harvey's permission.
