Can we please ask Rice fans to not read at the game? It is very annoying. We have some good libraries on campus. They are open on Saturday.

Also will the MOB be there? I like the marching violins.

I am sure the MOB will be there on Saturday, with a spoof of some sort. They are the best part of Rice football, could probably play the football team close.

The MOB is hands down one of the best acts in college football. I remember going to Rice games growing up as a kid, and getting such a kick out of those guys. I hope they never give up their act.

I had a couple of friends from Highschool who were in the MOB. They didn't even have to play an instrument they just participated in theirhalftime skits. They loved it.

It's apples and oranges Spaz. Mustang Band is a fantastic music show. Of course there's no comparison. MOB knows they can't hang with the Mustang Band, or anybody else music-wise, so they go a different way. They're a pretty fun comedy show.

Agreed, however here's my main beef with the MOB. I understand the fact that they want to be a funny comedy troupe, but over the years they have focused less on the fact that they are there to entertain and are focused on the fact that THEY DON'T MARCH. I just think it's hurt their comedy over the years. However, being part of the "marching band" world, I get to see their stuff more than most people. They're a novelty, and a little hard to swallow more than a few times.
Regardless, we're the best damn band, EVER!! PERIOD!!

Of course, a good portion of the MOB will be there. They're nice folks and all, but I really don't like them. I've found some of their skits enjoyable over the years, but I still wish they would play more than a really bad version of "Louie Louie."

That's my musical side talking though.
