SMU Played Tough

Your D played hard all game long, regardless of the score. You should be proud of your D players and coaches. No you should never be content with a loss but there isn't parity in college football and Lubbock is a very tough place to win. Your team came in to win and took a good swipe at it.

The O looked flawless on the 2 TD drives. Those 2 drives looked like typical June Jones, split up the D and find the empty spot. The TD from the short field was mixed, not bad, but not flawless like the other 2. #11 made a great play, keeping his head in the game, by catching the tipped pass.

If your team plays that hard every game, you will win 9 or 10 games this year. Especially if your FG K can nail 61 yarders. That was a thing of beauty and obvious it was good the moment it left his foot.

I would like to know how the officials and TV announcers missed Potts tossing the football at Yenga's facemask. There was some chippiness on both sides during a tussle after a Potts sneak, but throwing the football at the opponent warrants a personal foul, if not ejection.

Seriously, where did the officials come from?

Probably from CFO West, which is an officiating alliance between CUSA, MWC, WAC, and Big 12 (I believe).
