Post by Pony_Fan »

Going to create Red T-Shirts with white letters on the front. - probably with #1 of the 4.
Who wants one?

I have a 30-year-old Mustang Mania t-shirt already. Thanks, though.

I am in for one.

I will note that on the orig. Mustang Mania sticker, pony was on the left.
At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

No. 1 is closest to the original. But why not just copy the original? I doubt there's a protected trademark/copyright/whatever on it.

This is just me, but I wouldn't put the word "death" or any reference to the death penalty on anything SMU related. The non-SMU crowd does that enough already. It's time for people to stop bringing up the death penalty any time SMU gets any recognition.

Thad's 30x30 excepted, of course. The death penalty era at SMU has its place from an historical standpoint, but it's time to stop associating that with current-day SMU. We can't stop outsiders from continuing to make death penalty jokes and references, but we don't have to encourage them, either.

I don't have the original, that is the problem...

Pony_Fan,

Great Idea.

I prefer No. 1 over the others you have listed, but the Original over No. 1

Would be interested in a couple. Agree with Dutch, keep it simple.

Didn't someone here just distribute some of the old bumper stickers recently?

Surely there are some examples floating around. I just did a Google Image search and couldn't find anything. Mustang Mania stuff pops up on e-Bay fairly often. As a last resort, Brad Thomas (Russ Pott's right-hand man) is still around town. Bet he has a ton of stickers and T-shirts in his garage.

And here's an image that shows the Mustang on the right in the logo. It was on the left in the bumper stickers.

Good luck - it's a worthy cause.
