Darius Johnson one handed catch photo

Post by vismatt »

I hope I do this correctly. I've never tried to post a picture to this site.

I thought you all would enjoy this one I took of Darius making his one handed catch against TCU.

His eyes are really focused on the ball.

that's at least 3 very nice catches he's made in his brief career; just think how may more highlights he's going to provide before he leaves SMU

I'm sure the keeper of the star would rule that an imcompletion because Johnson had to do everything he could to make a play on it.

In all seriousness, it's fun watching him mature from last year to this year. I think he will turn into this team's go-to receiver before the season is over.

I don't know what was better. That one handed catch or the one against Tech. They were both amazing, but I am inclined to go with the Tech one. That was just unbelievable how he pulled that one in.

This one was nice, but the Tech catch was ridiculous. EASILY the catch of the year ... so far.

I don't know about that. Did you see the replay in slow motion. The ball was spinning around horizontally in his hand as his arm was stretched out and then he finally pulled it in to his body. Both of his circus catches were pretty amazing. 8)
SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.

Both catches made ESPN's top plays list! This is a trend I can live with.
