Super Bowl rings
Does anyone know how many super bowl rings SMU Mustangs have? Counting all current and former NFL players, coaches, owners, management?
Re: Super Bowl rings
hmm.
off the top of my head..
Michael Carter has 3.
Jim Irsay has 1.
Raymond Berry had an NFL Championship from the greatest game ever played
Hellestrae has 3.
Forrest Gregg has 2 Super Bowl Rings and 3 NFL Championships

if we're counting coaches, of course AK has three. And Ron Meyer got one from being a scout with the Cowboys I believe

those three that Klem has sure do help when he sits down with these high school kids that may not know much if anything about SMU.
Ok this is getting ridiculous...I agree with Dutch on THIS ONE POST by him totally

yep, Super Bowl IV.
And, he named the thing
note: I originally put Super Bowl V, not IV. This was incorrect. This disclaimer appears here so as not to hang mrydel out to dry where he quotes this post below.

Yep, Jerry Mays. Played for the Dallas Texans before they moved to KC and became the Chiefs. IIRC he was captain of the Chiefs one year. Think he played defense- DE or DT. Great player and an even better person.

Re: Super Bowl rings
What about Irsay? Ray Schoenke played in the Redskins/Dolphins Super Bowl game for the Redskins (so he would have an NFC Ring).
UNC better keep that Ram away from Peruna

Re: Super Bowl rings
How about we make this an authoritative list? Have someone legit come up with the definitive list...could be a nice inclusion in the 'ol 2011 Media Guide for coaches/recruits.
