Wow, it's actually gone...
MustangManiacs.com is officially closing down. I know the site wasn't the same after the whole registering fiasco, but that's where many of us used to post before we found this board. I was just over there like 2 days ago seeing what was being said, and now it's all gone. Kinda sad, but at least we have this board to get our daily fix of Mustang news. A big hubba hubba to the guys that ran that website.

Why would we want to shed our reputation of being the "Sunshine Board"? I think it's perfectly marvelous! Besides, there's nothing wrong with supporting the team through thick and thin.

For some strange reason, one of the few universities that REFUSE to use their school colors: Harvard Crimson & Yale Blue.

Poor jtstang. He is going to be a lost soul with out his own private message board.
Actually, I'm sorry to see the other board go, but the writing was on the wall since the beginning of the year when they went down for about three weeks and people drifted over here.
At least we still have this great site to visit. The webbies here have done a great job upgrading the site and increasing our ability to get good info on our SMU Mustangs.
MustangManiacs Forum was at its best in its original format. There were some pretty interesting, although sometimes disturbing, threads over there. Thanks Gangi for the old good times. Best of luck.

SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.
Re: Wow, it's actually gone...
One addition which would probably be a good addition to this board would be a smack page or a campus life page. That way frat boys could find a place to brag about their manhood.
UNC better keep that Ram away from Peruna

Re: Wow, it's actually gone...
the other board actually died a long time ago. SMU just doesn't have a large enough fan following to support more than one board and this site has been the preferred site of most for quite a while now. JT does have a dilemma; he will either have to quit posting or overcome his paranoia and actually register on this site. I'm baiting you, JT. You know you want to participate. After all, you and I are the guys following this attendance issue about as closely as our administration. You gonna let me post with no rebuttal?

Ole jt will give in because he just has to post...but the question is will he keep his name and suffer some humble pie or will he just be a new "Sunshiner" under a new name? :hmm:
