About the White-Out
So I think the white out is a bad Idea and as much as I love my ponies I don't know if I can commit to wearing white.
Reasons against the White out:
1. Its fall so Most people don't want to wear white as they are generaly lighter less warm clothes
2. It will be chilly around game time and I have yet to meet a man that can wear a white coat that is not a villian on a snowmobile in an action movie
3. SMU can't even creat a real white out effect. The benches are red and the empty seats will stick out like a sore thumb.
4. White is not an SMU color
5. Instead of trying to creat atmoshpere through a white out it would be better to focus more on filling the stadium.
What do you guys think?

Re: About the White-Out
Even more ridiculous: A Marshall paper said they are wearing the green uni's because SMU is wearing the whites to go along with a white-out. Why the hell didn't they go along with the blue-out? Much better option in my opinion...
Re: About the White-Out
I've got the same reservations about the White-Out, too. Just don't think I can pull it off unless I layer a long-sleeve T (or two) under a white T-shirt. Latest forecast I saw (noon Thurs) was a high of 70 on Saturday.
And ultimately, White-Outs don't work unless you know you've got a sell-out crowd, and one that participates. When you say "White Out" in college football, people think of the Penn State White-Outs where it looks like a blizzard has hit the stadium. It's a joke to think SMU could pull off anything similar.
Just chalk it up to another example of poor planning by SMU. At least they're trying. Don't worry about the White-Out, just go and have fun.

Re: About the White-Out
If I recall Jones would like us to wear white all the time. You do need permission, I think from the league and more likely from the opponent. I would imagine that Marshall was probably the only school that agreed to do it. If I also recall, Marshall was on CBSCS a few weeks ago and they did the same thing at their school, wearing white at home.
I prefer the blue but I doubt we will ever see them again after an initial season of 1-11 in blue. It will all be ok as long as we win. Wear whatever you wish, they will still let you in if you have a ticket.

not sure what everyone is complaining about.....this is going to look awesome!

Re: About the White-Out
Good one...why not a red out??? When I think SMU I think red. Plus, as mentioned, it matches the seat colors. Seriously wondering what Orsini is doing over there. And fire Doh.
