SMU/TCU
Would anyone else like to see this game moved to the traditional rivalry/Thanksgiving weekend?

Yes.
SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.

Yeah, hate having it so early in the season.

ECU is the Texas Tech of the Atlantic coast...
So, sorta.
We've never lost the tailgate.

Re: SMU/TCU
only problem with playing at Thanksgiving is that our attendance is already horrible and too many students head home for the holiday. I expect the game to remain early in the year
Re: SMU/TCU
Yes - a few more years of success on our side and we'll be able to get a decent looking crowd in the stadium on this weekend that aren't overwhelmingly purple.
Don't worry. Be Happy. Or not.

Good...nothing worse than ugly looking crowds.

Re: SMU/TCU
I'm looking forward to the day SMU is competing at a Top 25 level in both football and bball and Ford and Moody are full of red or blue on game day...just like a REAL big time college game
not sure it will ever happen, because it seems too many of our fans are just too cool to wear SMU gear; too may are only in attendance "to be seen" and want to be more stylish. I can still hope though, cant I? If TCU can do it, so can we...right?

We are too small and too many out of staters to ever pull that off. It will never happen - and probably shouldnt if you want the advantage (however slight) that only comes from a full student section.

Would be great to see on that Friday after Thanksgiving for "rivalry week". Just not sure the attendance would be there as most TCU/SMU fans would rather be at home for Thanksgiving.

I remember they had the game thanksgiving weekend my sophomore year in 2003. I dont know why they havent had it that weekend since. I was unable to go because I had to be at home for Thanksgiving with my family, not sure how the attendance was.

Too many gone or busy. I doubt we could fill either stadium on that weekend.
