UCF says less than 10,000 tickets remain for the Conference USA championship game Saturday at Bright House Networks Stadium.
The Knights (9-3 overall, 7-1 in C-USA) play SMU (7-5 overall, 6-2 in C-USA) for the Conference USA title. Kickoff is set for noon, and the game will be broadcast on ESPN.
Stadium capacity is 45,301, FYI. More interesting are the comments below:
Can’t even sell out a home championship game with 40,000+ student enrollment, a city full of alumni, and a winning record. What a joke.
Witch our track record no way will we sell 10k by Saturday. They will have trouble giving that many away for free. It is going to be a gorgeous day on Saturday, what better way to spend it than at the game? Sad.
quick, send those comments to the Big East office. ha. Interesting though when they are actually the only game in town. Though no doubt Orlando is torn between Jags, Bucs, and Florida Gator pro teams

I think they are assuming 10,000 students take advantage of their "free" admission to the south end zone.
SMU group will be in the north end zone; I was told today they sent us 2,000 seats but we have sold only 200, including my 2. Will be there wearing red and making noise. Pretty pumped about watching SMU play in it's 1st conference championship game since conference formats changed
