And #2 on the all time SMU rushing list for a season. He also saved Padron from being killed on more than one occasion yesterday.

By way of comparison, Shawnbrey was 1188 yards and five yards per attempt last year. Line ended up with six more carries than McNeal.
Re: Zach Line
I would love to see him on next year's Doak Walker award watch list.

MVP - great season! Would have lost a few w/out him.

Re: Zach Line
One thing I don't understand is why June chose not to stuff Zach down Armies throat in the first quarter. It was nice to see the opening pass to Aldrick work out even though it was underthrown but the next two plays called also were passes (with Kyle fumbling the second one), which didn't make a lot of sense to me given the beast in the backfield and the lack of size of Armies line. Zach really didn't get many carries in the first half, which I believe was a major blunder!

I think it's safe to assume June was hoping his team would actually be able to run his offense with a month of preparation like in the Hawaii bowl, instead of having to rely on Line. He found out what happens when you assume.

Re: Zach Line
Way to go Zach! And kudos to the offensive line for making those openings.
