Our UTEP loss- more good than bad?

Post by wcspony »

I know ultimately its a L for us, but that game could potentially turn out to be very beneficial for our program. I think that loss was the turning point for our guys, as Doh clearly stated that they were ticked in the locker room afterwards. I think that being up most of the game and squandering the lead taught our guys how to handle adversity, especially on the road. I think you will see that the UTEP game will help us in our final 5 (all winnable), primarily at Marshall and UCF.
Let's go win the C-USA Tourney!

I hope you're right, but it is way too premature to judge; however, I guess that's the point of a message board.
"This is . . . dedication to distraction by fans. Is that what I'm going to go with Jay?"
"That poor kid has to be wondering what is dad doing."

I know this, the players facebooks were littered with 'we gave that game away tonight, no more losing,' type updates.
“When I first committed to SMU, I thought it would take a couple of years of building. But with these players coming in, we should make a run. We have a lot of heavy hitters. It could get real ugly for a lot of teams we play.”- Jalen Jones
