Long Live the great Kato Armstrong. I still think his performance against Baylor in SWC Tourney Champion was better than in NCAA victory over David Rivers

Saw him absolutely light it up at South Garland with drives, no-look passes, and even some dunks mixed in. Made the high school kids look plain silly.

Final was SMU 85, ND 77 if memory serves, at the Dean Dome. I was a senior at HP and knew I was going to Duke in the fall, so the second round was no fun; hated to see either team lose.

I was actually a junior at SMU...I remember I had a philosphy class with Vernon Purdue and the Professor was a big sports fan. After SMU lost that hard fought game to Duke and Vernon was back at class, the prof had everyone give him a hand.
Professor Elegado or something like that.

Is the CIT REALLY considered a postseason win?
The NIT hardly counts...the CIT is only relevant to the teams playing.

A win in a post season tourney counts as a post season win. Glad I could help clear that up for you.

So, was anybody at the game at UNC? I was and it was AWESOME. All the ND fans were saying, "No way you beat us on St. Patrick's day." The arena was very pro-SMU that night. All the UNC, Duke and ACC fans were cheering for SMU. Of course, that changed when we played Duke 2 nights later.

P88 - what a great memory and thanks for the picture. I was at a bar in Malibu drinking Old Bushmills. I think I was the only person in the bar that gave a flip.

I hope to be at SMUs POSTSEASON game on Saturday. You just go ahead and enjoy Morehead St and Richmond. With u not being there, less will be more.

It's March, and we're still alive. Jacksonville has as big a wins, as anyone in CUSA. Oh yeah, they're coming to our place, and it's one & done for kids like Papa Dia, who is an SMU great, and can barely walk. I'm IN
