Mizzou hires Miami HC Frank Haith
This has to be a late April Fool's joke Mike Alden is playing on Mizzou...............
if not, I think he needs to be prescribed some heavy meds- guy was on the hot seat this year until he barely beat UVA in OT during the first round of the ACC Tournament. Couldn't recruit a giraffe to come play for him!

Haith underachieved on the court, but I don't get your recruiting shot. He's brought plenty of marquee recruits to Coral Gables. Mostly, its a program w/o support in a league where programs need support. He's contacted everyone in the past few to leave Miami.

Shaka Smart needs make a move while the iron is hot...maybe Miami should give him a call
I will not make age an issue in this campaign. I'm not going to exploit for political purposes my opponent's youth and inexperience.

Lots of speculation that Frank Martin could jump from KSU to Miami, cause that's his home etc.

Due to the success of Steve Lavin jumping from ESPN back into the coaching ranks, I wonder if any programs will consider current ESPN & former D1 heads Dino Gaudio from Wake Forest, and Mark Gottfried from Alabama. Gaudio had a 61-31 record @ Wake. Gottfried complied a 210-130 record with the Tide.

ESPN's Pat Forde, a Missouri alum, said there was a rumor floating out there stating the Missouri board of trustees would not sign off on it. Probably not valid but he said the Mizzou alums he spoke with thought Alden really blew it....almost like a give-up hire.
Meanwhile, it's very quiet at NC State. Guess the perception of Yow that hoompanx spoke of is speaking loudly in this.
Looks pretty clear the Wolfpack are not going to get who they originally targeted.
Give-up hire is coming.

I hope NCST goes for Shaka because nothing says 1st in the ACC like 4th in the CAA.

Looks like NC State is going with former Alabama coach Mark Gottfried.
