that's it?
Havent read the whole article, but I think someone said "we had...what amounts to some shoddy bookkeeping issues...we feel we run basically a clean bowl..."

I will not make age an issue in this campaign. I'm not going to exploit for political purposes my opponent's youth and inexperience.

It appears the Sgt. Schultz excuse worked again with the NCAA.

Thought I remember hearing that several members of the NCAA investigating the Fiesta Bowl all had received perks from said bowl in the past. This should not be a surprise to anyone!

I don't see the fuss. Sounds like all they were doing was practicing an little for an eventual Oympic bid.

Does anyone else see the irony in this? The Fiesta Bowl is given a $1 Million fine. The money is going to charity. As a non-Profit entity isn't that where they were supposed to spend their money anyway? This BCS Committee's punitive action was to make the Fiesta Bowl do its job.

stc9 is absolutely right. Almost all of the bozos on the Committee charged with reviewing and determining punishment were previously guests at a golf, booze and hos? outing at Pebble in Cali on Fiestas dime.
