June was not to happy in the interview on the field

Post by SMU 86 »

I personally will take any win but Coach Jones was not happy as he was interviewing on the field and said that they need to improve on offense.

My wife saw some of the interview and said it stinks that SMU lost.

Look at his best games at Hawaii and look at what happened tonight. Would you be happy if you where him? High expectations by alumni for this program to be turned around and that looked like mediocre football.

whats to be happy about? He's ruining KPs confidence and McD isnt the guy. No points second half. I see no leadership spark out there from McD for a well traveled senior either.

He needs to improve the 2nd half playcalling.

totally agree on the play calling. We get the contrarian thing - but he was just making stupid calls all game. putting us in holes we did not need to be in.

If coach Jones doesnt get it together we are not going to get far this year.

Thought Preston was going to RS.

I think JJ is pissed because he has a QB conundrum. One guy can make the reads but doesn't have the arms to mkae the throughs (JJ), and the other guy can make all the throughs when he is settled but usually struggles reading the game.

JJ certainly has the arm to make all the throws...just hasn't been as accurate as one would hope. his arm strength is not the question though. Padron struggled on deep balls last year often under or over throwing....as poor as BLM was with accuracy in short and intermediate routes, he had real nice touch on the deep ball

I was almost as upset with the procedure penalties as I was some of the 2nd half play calling. I'm a Jones guy, however, and I still wouldn't trade him for anyone else.

Really??? You must not have made any of the Monday luncheons where June showed all of the bad misses he had on open guys deep.

I will take McD or KP over BLM any day

Yeah, Bo Levi is the king of comically poor overthrows, I mean the guy could barely keep a deep ball inbounds.
