Lighting could have been a problem for the WR's

Post by SMU 86 »

This according to what Coach Jones said in the press conference. Stallion also mentioned the odd lighting in another thread.

isn't that something that should have been addressed in the offseason?? Didn't we know this going in??

Sounds like bad excuse to me.

Never seemed to be a problem for Robinson the last few years...

Of course, those balls weren't as underthrown as JJMcD's balls were tonight...

He was talking about the long 50 yard passes out of the end zone.

Ever see sunglasses on outfielders :?:

If he really thinks it's a problem a short night time practice or two :?: :?: :?: :?:
May the forth be with us.

People in my group mentioned the lighting while watching the game on tv. The field honestly looked dim and I was very surprised to see this come up as it leads me to believe it must truly be an issue.

Catch the ball. Plain and simple... if you see it and can touch it... CATCH IT.
We should have had a few more big catches tonight.

Yeah, it affected E. Sanders...99 catches in 2009. Jones complained last year about the lighting. Why wasn't anything done in the off-season, because he whines about the lights when all else fails.

Didn't hurt Rusty Burns' offense, putting up 50 point games.

Anybody gone back and checked out how many of those past games were night games? From the stands, which may be different than on the field, the ball was hard to follow when the lights went on. It just seemed to wash out.

The wide receivers aren't good...that's the issue...

all I know is that this team is going to have to win 5 (if not all 6) home games this year to go 7-5 and get another bowl game

Not once did I ever think the lights were an issue last night, nor did anyone else around me.
Sounds like a cop out.
