With the two recruits leaving, this does not look as nearly as strong of a recruiting class. Any ideas on who else we might pick up? We have 5 or 6 scholarships left, correct?
From Rivals.com, we have some recruits still looking at us, with an interest of medium or higher and a rating of 2 starts or higher. Who would we like the most?

I think Ransom might be a stud. Anyone have any info on him? Rivals has him ranked pretty high as an athlete. Any chance we might get him?

No so fast my friends!
I thought Tony Burnett was supposed to be a star in the making, that he'd be offered by everyone. What's the story with this guy? Is he not as good as advertised? Is he not qualified academically?

According to rivals, he is a good prospect, but has yet to be offered by anyone. He is interested in SMU, baylor, colorado, UCLA, okalahoma, and west virginia. But no offers as of yet...
He is 5-11, 185, runs a 4.4 - small but quick. Sounds like more like a DB than a WR??
His GPA is 3.0, and SAT is 820. I don't have a clue about minimum requirements. That is a low SAT, but I am sure it would get him in somewhere?

Re: down to 14 recruits...
No need to offer Karrington. He's undersized for a defensive lineman, and I don't know that he'll get too much bigger. Possible walk-on candidate?

I happen to know of two walk-ons. Buddy Walls will be vying for DB and Nathan White for WR. Either of those guys could get a scholarship for future years.

ProudPonyPa - what can you tell us about Walls and White?
PonyFans, let's not fret over the ones who have changed their minds. Wish them well and move on. Remember that Coach Bennett got a late start on recruiting, and most of his assistants joined him late. Have faith in him. He'll pull in a good class this year, and his future classes will be great. Have confidence - he's a great recruiter and a great coach.
