11-1 Regular Season?
okay, nothing's a gimme, but seeing how this team is coming together, and especially showing their moxie on the road, on a big-time stage, who likes our chances for finishing 11-1?
then, on to the conference championship and bowl game! (13-1 ???!!!!!).

You are severely poking the football gods. Don't wake them.

doesn't care who wins.

Re: 11-1 Regular Season?
let's beat UCF, get to 5-1, then we'll almost be halfway to this fantasy scenario

Re: 11-1 Regular Season?
Have to slow down the no huddle of Houston first.
Usm will be a solid test. We need some guys to get healthy this bye week -I'm really worried about Crawford.
Ucf-Usm-tulsa I don't know if I'd predict 3-0 just yet. I'd probably be pleased winning at home (have to in conf) and slpitting on road.

yeah, I know, but I couldn't resist.
I mean, it's fun to think that it's even a possibility. we couldn't have really imagined it a few weeks ago, right?

Re: 11-1 Regular Season?
Everyone needs to back away from the Kool-aid. Most felt we had 7 very challenging games this year. So far we have played two of those seven and gone .500. We have our third tough challenge in two weeks against UCF followed by road games at USM and Tulsa. Not an easy stretch. This team can really show its character over the next 3 games.
Most folks had us finishing behind UH and Tulsa. A few picked SMU but the majority though we would go bowling and not challenge for the conference championship. Houston and Tulsa have played well. And we face them on the road.
We still have challenges with our D (giving up 23 points in the 4th quarter is embarrassing). Other teams can see how TCU ripped us in the second half. Expect to see more of it in the future.
And few really thought we would be 4-1 at this point. And three of our really challenging games will be on the road.
If we go 2-3 in the remaining tough games and win the games we should win, we are a 8-4 team. Not bad but certainly not world beaters.
First thing is to prepare for UCF and beat them. We have an extra week to heal and to get the TCU celebration out of our system. UCF knows that we are good from last year's game and will come prepared.

What is the teams motto this year? 1 week at a time?

We are working on the UH no huddle. Frazier's knees are getting sorer daily and now that Thompson and Hunt give us a 3 man rotation, their knees are getting shaky also. I have a feeling they may, at separate times of course, get ocassionally hurt and need tending to.

Re: 11-1 Regular Season?
It's football anyone can beat anyone on any given day, from a talent stand point we are the best team of all the teams we will play (though you can make a strong case for Houston) I like our chances in all our games but I wouldn't be surprised if we lose 1 or two of them (I don't like Houston and Tulsa on the road).

Re: 11-1 Regular Season?
Yes, love our chances. If you're a player on this team that's what you better be expecting or you shouldn't be playing. DOMINATE these Mickey Mouse schools ... they shouldn't even be on the same field as us ... THAT should be the attitude: DOMINATE! We beat a team named after a damn frog. Good, we SHOULD. I'm pissed that we let them back into the game ... after 20 years of watching this team with a loser/inferiority complex it's time to get a swagger ... best said by Beach in a preseason interview: 'the idea isn't to just win but to DOMINATE'. Damn right!
