Dont have insider, but prob will play UT or OU at Cowboys Stadium.

Their new expansion should be done by next season. How many expected ticket sales over Carter's capacity would there need to be before this makes sense? How would the stadium donors feel if they move more that one game a year over there?

Won't care as long as they get an equal suite to the one at ACS. And tcu has a minimum revenue number guaranteed by Jones equal to or greater than total gate at ACS.

The article says:

The TCU Horned Frogs have played in Cowboys Stadium before, and future games against new conference rivals like Oklahoma and Texas could likely sell the massive building out. According to ESPN Big 12 blogger David Ubben, though, Horned Frogs coach Gary Patterson doesn't like that idea.

"For us, we'll have a brand-new stadium and we want to play in it," Patterson said. "For us, if we're going to play in [Cowboys Stadium], it'll be a nonconference ballgame like we've done."

TCU will play BYU at Cowboys stadium later this year. Next season, TCU will open its renovated Amon G. Carter Stadium that seats approximately 50,000 people.

Sounds to me like the ESPN Big 12 blogger is just speculating.

He's right. At home they maintain home field adv. At Jonestown the will be minority.

Originally it was 43k + 3-6k SRO = 49k tops. It is now going to be 50k + 3-6k SRO = ~56k tops.

They're actually adding the extra infrastructure for the 5k+ seats on the West side upper deck today.

I get other schools having neutral games at Jerry World to connect to alumni and recruits in the area, but TCU is in Fort Worth. They risk turning a home game into an away game, alienating their alumni that just built them a new stadium, making it harder for students to take part, and separating themselves from the city they are trying to have embrace them. The money has to outweigh a lot things.

Also those will be the biggest games of the season, that say this is TCU and we have arrived. Now they turn into sudo-exhibition games for OU/UT to show off to their fans in DFW. Must be a lot of cash tempting TCU.

Non-Conference games at Texas Statdium. There won't be any TCU home conference games at Jerry's world ever.
