Easy solution. Every fan that enters the stadium will receive a manequin to set in the seat next to theirs. Then when the cameras pan the crowd, it will look like 45K fans in the stands. All we have to do is outlaw close ups and High Def.
Just send 'da money.

Better yet, all of us move to the East side. That is the side the TV cameras capture the most.

Re: ESPN talks SMU attendance (or lack thereof)
SMU needs to capitalize on the hot start. If we can't get fans at 5-1 fresh off a win against TCU, what happens if we lose a game or two?
We have degree programs in advertising and marketing at SMU, don't we? If we can't afford pro help, can we please leverage our own students and come up with something?? Please.
We are getting so much gruff right now for our lack of support, by the DC, ESPN, by our own players. At some point the admin and students have to take notice, get embarrassed, and do something about it.

Allow the TV cameramen and photographers to shoot the playing field only. No pics, it never happened. Would you like to meet my pit bull?

Slow media day if that's part of the discussion on ESPN.
Re: ESPN talks SMU attendance (or lack thereof)
Why ESPN is fighting us being in the BE (which they clearly are) has to be because they assume that the BE will approach them saying "hey look at all of our shiny new TV markets, remember that $1.2 billion TV offer, why not make it $1.5." They want the BE rights but they don't want to pay for the new markets, and they have to think the BE will be very attractive to new TV partners. ESPN really wants to own college football so they want an undervaluation on the BE. Bunch of A-holes if you ask me.
I do agree that our attendance sucks.

If you are buying a car, you don't tell the person you are buying it from how great it is.

I hear the BE is looking at a nice early 80s model Trans-Am. Marinatto favors the gold color.

If things fall apart at the 11th hour THIS will be the reason. Although it sounds like we are already down the road to the BE.
Back off Warchild seriously.

Re: ESPN talks SMU attendance (or lack thereof)
Yep. They didn't do any research as to what our attendance has been historically. It was the UCF game that tipped them off that we struggle to sell out. That's when the BE said "Whoa, they can't sell out their stadium, time to offer Memphis."
