Academic Rep of Big East

Post by texasmustang10 »

You gotta think this helps our academic reputation a lot. Notre Dame, Rutgers, Providence, Navy, Air Force, UConn, Georgetown as opposed to what, Tulane and Rice?

No, he's saying that Rice and Tulane are the only other high academic schools in CUSA.

Do they have a course at Rutgers on how to bury dead bodies? Seems like that would be a good course for NJ. I remember when Virginia DMV was had an ad campaign about staying 5 seconds behind the car in front of you and you would avoid an accident. Their qualifier was that this guarantee did not apply to NJ and other such unnavigable areas. Okay this is the first official BE smack.

This does nothing for our academic rep. Admittedly, ND and Georgetown are great but we lose Rice. I think UCONN is ranked around the same as we are, unfortunately. We're in the top 60 range but we need to also put a stronger focus on increasing our academic rankings to be somewhere in the top 30.

Business and Law schools are the only parts of the school that matters, we dominate in business, and admirable in law

We're very good in both but we need to do better overall to improve our overall rankings.

We'll agree to disagree. Some of the best colleges are those with only liberal arts focuses at the undergraduate level. I love the b-school but I think we can be better overall. I want us top 30 in the national academic rankings as well.
