June will get the job done. We haven't had a good QB since he has been here. Padron was a 2 star recruit and JJ McDermott transferred from NMSU. We have some promising guys for the future. Supposedly Kaiser was a bust, but Preston could be good, he at least was a winner in high school. Then Gilbert, Burcham, and Printz, I like our odds with June. So, NO I'm not going to apologize! You will be when you want to join the June Jones bandwagon in a couple of years...

Rivals had them both as 3 star recruits, which is better than Padron and McDermott. So, no, it doesn't make your point stronger?

Heres one that will....Gilbert was the top ranked player/QB in the country for his class.....WTF has he done? 22 INT's

Get off your horse with the rivals crap...the stars doesnt take into account a players work ethic. A players system...and all of the other intangibles...that rivals stuff is over rated for the most part in my opinion

Dalton made several Texas Top 100 teams

Who do you have in mind for a coach? I believe most of us on here are dying to know? Please, grace us all with your supreme football knowledge.

Someone that will only recruit 5 and 6 stars is who I want for my coach hhaha!

Only kidding....but seriously man, I have to side with bongo on this one...the stars argument is over rated.

Jones himself has said numerous times that the star system has no effect on him. He assigns the stars when they play for him. i have to agree. Stars are extremely biased. If you played as a junior the likelihood of your star rating being greater than a player who played behind a 5 star and only played 1 year. Bottom line: stars don't exactly equal talent. Look at Gilbert. All everything 5 star in high school and the guy is booed on his home field. Texas has a history of recruiting the 5 star. How has that worked for them lately?

Exactly, the stars don't matter. The coaches mold the players.

So why did Timmy Chang and Colt Brennan set records? Must of been their coach. What was that guy's name again? You idiots probably will need to look it up. So I will give you a hint, his initials are "J J"...

Much obliged Bongo...I agree with many of your posts....but were idiots so who cares

Its not about the stars....the coach hasnt produced a qb? KP threw for 31 Td's and nearly 4000 yards? Pretty decent...are the Chang and Brennan worthy? No....but I would like to see Brennan and Chang's stats as sophomores, and tell me whose are better...

Thanks Mr. Sanders! Better recruits help but we played a service academy and lost. The coaches, especially SMU, are supposed to find diamonds in the rough and mold great players. JJ hasn't done that yet. GET IT DONE OR GET OUT!
Chang and Brennan? Who the hell did they play against? JJ did develop those guys but he's gotten lazy since then, that was almost 5 years ago. 5 years bro

Let me get your argument straight! June has developed excellent QBs in the past, but has not accomplished that at SMU because he is lazy? It's official Ponyfans has been invaded with 5 Star idiots!

I'm sorry, I've had about enough of you. No-one on this board needs to apologize to you, or anyone else. Who do you think you are in your sad little world? Express your opinion all you want. But searching for some "victory" over others in an SMU athletic forum is about the most pathetic thing I have ever heard of.
