wild mustang
I really liked seeing Beasley in the Wild Mustang (wildcat). I hope to see a lot more of that in goal line and short yardage.

Re: wild mustang
I wonder if he can make that jump ball throw to Thompson? That will really cause a defense fits

Re: wild mustang
For a change of pace why not put Cole B. in at QB with Z. Line and a speedy RB in the spread. The RB or Z could go in motion as a receiver out of the backfield or catch a quick shuttle pass. You could also run a quick option out of this formation with Z running in front as a blocking back.
Since cougar high is not good at defending the run this might work alternating between this formation and the RnS. Just an idea. Obviously something needs to change.

Speaking of speedy guys - where the hell is Jared Williams. Give him a chance.

Makes too much sense, June's not going to go for it.

I had to look up what a "shuttle pass" was. I don't know if we want to try it.

A SHUTTLE PASS is what happens when a [deleted] Quarterback is falling backward (due to tripping, sacks, etc.), but instead of trying to hang on to the ball, he launches it straight up in the air like the flipping Space Shuttle - only to be caught by the Defense.

Re: wild mustang
Ha- that is definitely not what we used to call a shuttle pass. Perhaps a lateral or quick flip to the man in motion would be more appropriate.

Re: wild mustang
Since Cole is a former HS QB, I bet he could throw long downfield throws to Thompson and Johnson better than McD.

Re: wild mustang
He would obviously give us a QB with some mobility as well as being able to hit the 'dink n dunk' passes.

That was the best call of the day by June. We had to do something like that otherwise we weren't getting in the endzone.

Re: wild mustang

Once gain, there is no such thing as a wild mustang. There are only ferrel mustangs. So the formation is really the ferrel mustang formation.

Re: wild mustang
Or to honor TBP we could call it the 'goofy gelding' formation.
