I come to SMT for all my realignment news.
Re: Yahoo! Sports: Why is Big East Dragging Its Heels?
There is NO hang up other than AFA which will be later.... Done deal. Probably late this week, maybe Sat.
Re: Yahoo! Sports: Why is Big East Dragging Its Heels?
When is the rivals report that tells us there will be an announcement later this week or early next week?
I've been enjoying those the last 3 weeks.

AFA and the Penn State scandal really blew up the timeline on BE expansion.

So did good news. Waiting for BYU to get their paperwork in order is worth it.
Re: Yahoo! Sports: Why is Big East Dragging Its Heels?
Penn state garbage took all headlines last week. it wouldn't surprise me to hear an official announcement this week with ESPN Gameday being at the UH/SMU game. perfect timing.
Ok this is getting ridiculous...I agree with Dutch on THIS ONE POST by him totally

They're waiting on Dutch and the 1st& 10 to create a 'big east burger' so they will feel like they belong in Texas.

Re: Yahoo! Sports: Why is Big East Dragging Its Heels?
On ESPN Game Day, does the Big East announce its Western Division?
Air Force Falcons
Boise State Broncos
Brigham Young Cougars
Houston Cougars
Louisville Cardinals
SMU Mustangs
with Navy and UCF going to the East Division to join Cincinnati, Connecticut, Rutgers and USF. If U of L insists on staying in the East, then Navy is a western team.
BTW, the West would be a tough Division.
(Side note: If Big East goes really big, then Temple, East Carolina, San Diego State, Fresno State, Hawaii and Memphis are candidates for a 14 or 16 school FB conference.)
