The Bloom off of last year's Magnificent NWBIT
run has faded and wilted after 3 games. I thought that was a great moment, something to build on, we should be fired up, extra practice, rah rah yeah team and all that sort of jazz..48 hours later we suck, it sucks to be us, I am wasting my time, poor poor me, the SMU fan is a tough road to hoe, etc., etc., whine, whine...
It is going to be a long year for you die hard studs.

Didn't you guys start 1-3 last year?
I'm not generally in the "pump up SMU's spirits" business... But I wouldn't be writing off the season yet, especially given that it ought to be a developmental year for a talented young team. And that one of the best players on your roster doesn't hit the floor until semester break.
This time last year, I thought your coach was doomed and half of your recruits would cut and run after his termination. Just looking at the roster last season helped you assemble... I'd say 'the bloom' will stay on for 3+ more years.

I just don't know why you like to pick fights with those who have stayed loyal to this program through the years regardless of its success or lack of it.
You've maintained a position that you don't take these boards seriously but yet you have enough reason to return and get on everybody but then proclaim yourself as being above it all.
Help me understand? We talked about this last year. I know you really care about this school and its athletics programs and want them to be successful.
If you still believe the CIT (Diablo his NWBIT was a mocking reference to the CIT) wasn't worth it, that's up to you. But for those who came to the games, we had a great experience and the program took something from it -- whether you believe that to be the case or not.
You care about SMU. You just have a funny way of showing it. And I know you hate me somethin' fierce. I don't know why that's the case. We don't even know each other but yet you seem to take a lot of joy of being ugly.
I'm sorry you feel that way.
