Blazers knock USM out of BCS race...now we just need a coug loss and the frogs can start packing for the sugar bowl!!! Give em hell ponies!

You lost to SMU and Baylor. The only thing you need to start packing for is the Las Vegas Bowl.

Not so fast, all the Toads need to do is have Houston lose and finish in either the Top 12 or in the Top 16 and in front of the champion from an AQ league (BE champion will finish in the 20s). They can definitely get to another BCS game this season.

Not saying we deserve it but top 16 highest ranked conf champion from a non-AQ is guaranteed a BCS bid if ranked ahead of an AQ conf champion (big east). So 1 UH loss and we are very likely in...just playing by the rules set forth by the BcS.

Add this to my list of reasons we will end up pulling an SMU. We win. UH doesn't go to a bcs game and we lose out on our CUSA share of that money. UH doesn't get the BCS points to bring to BEast for the re eval in a few years and we lose AQ status. And now top it with a TCU sugar bowl. FML

Hey ReedFrawg, We'll do what we can. If morale picks up, we actually have that chance for an upset. McD has been a real downer but we will have a new starter in the backfield that could mix up UH's plan to contain. If we keep turnovers to less than one, we have an opportunity. Nice job with Boise.

As the season has progressed, SMU's program has regressed

to a point that makes it highly unlikely that they possess the

capability of derailing a team like Houston. Both Tulsa and

Southern Mississippi would seem to pose a much greater threat

to the Cougars.
