SMU football head coach June Jones met the media after Tuesday's practice to discuss a number of topics, including last week's game at Houston, Saturday's regular-season finale against Rice and the status and motivation of the team heading into the last game of the regular season.

Did he say at the 2:06 mark that Kyle is definitely taking a medical redshirt this year?

Kid not passing his test, I think, is a reference to Moreland. Didn't realize that opened us up to get JW.

sounded to me that he said KP would be taking a regular redshirt year.

He played this year. He cannot red shirt. After playing next year I believe he can apply for another year to play based on a medical hardship. Or he could sit out next year (red shirt) and then play a year and then apply for a 6th year medical hardship.

Is that last part correct Stallion?

He can't redshirt....played 3 games. He can only apply for a medical. Can't see him staying for 2 years. He graduates early. He's gone then....

How many Qb`s do we need over just clean all the left overs out from the old regime and lets see what the kids that June recruited can do

Pretty certain every QB we have is a Jones QB.

Every QB on this year's squad was recruited by Jones. I just wish he could coach them. 2008 BLM, 2009 BLM, KP, 2010 KP, 2011 McD, 2012 ? Could be a QB who's currently not even on the roster.
