If we hire a defensive coach.....

What would be your thoughts on Scott Frost as OC?

He has been at Oregon coaching WRs the last few years (was the coach who dragged Lagarrett Blount into the locker room after the Boise St fight.)

He played under:
Bill Walsh at Stanford
Tom Osborne and Turner Gill at Nebraska (won NC and only lost 2 games as starter)
Bill Bellicheck in Cleveland
Mike Sherman in Green Bay
Jon Gruden in Tampa Bay

Coached at:
Nebraska under Frank Solich (GA)
Kansas State under Ron Prince (GA)
Northern Iowa (LB and co-DC)
Oregon under Chip Kelly (WR)

From all accounts, he has been a very good recruiter on the west coast, and he could bring the Oregon offense to SMU. He was interviewed for the OC position at Nebraska last year, but I think they thought he needed a couple more years of experience before they could completely turn the offense over to him. (Bo doesn't get involved in the offense at all)
