What is SMU image after this mess ends?

Assuming JJ does not sign with ASU:
ASU looks really bad and stupid, Lisa Love probably gets fired. JJ looks, well it goes without saying. What is SMU's image after all of this is over? What do the recruits think if JJ comes back?

Thoughts? Because I do not know how SMU looks after this. Can't think it is that bad unless they let JJ continue coaching and act if nothing ever happened

I don't think it affects SMU all that much. Celebrate the Big East, use as leverage against JJ if and when he comes back.

That and ASU's fanbase has way too much power, regardless of who they sign.....

Whats wrong with SMU's image?....they haven't done anything to reduce their image and quite the contrary. JJ stepped on a land mine...

How many years does he have on his Contract-didn't he sign renewal. I certainly wouldn't be in a hurry to pay him any more salary or benefits. Yes to certain members of Coaching staff and yes to needed program changes-but June-hell no. He has damaged this program

This has to hurt JJ's chances for moving on to another school - the boosters of a school reject you and now what major college is going to be able to explain pursuing you?

That's the thing about history and images, we can largely contribute to how we remember these things. SMU has to continue playing their AQ status now with the Big East. Keep emphasizing that and the school brand will be fine, even if June's reputation goes to [deleted].

Original contract was through 2012, 2 year extension extended it through 2014.

We joined an AQ conference today, our image is better than it was yesterday. June and Lisa Love look like morons. June for recruiting for a job he didn't have locked up and Love for trying to force a guy in who the boosters and fans were vehemently against.
