Who will our next coach be?
Its looking like June will be gone in the near future. Will we definitely hire from within? Or will we look for a higher profile coach? This last week has me very concerned about all the progress we have made to this point. I'm hoping all the recruits don't get cold feet.
Re: Who will our next coach be?
Just a thought. Consideration should be given to Klemm. Make him asst HC now (June if you were smart endorsing this plan might help you mend fences) and/or HC in-waiting. Continuity, time for AK to get his ducks in a row, recruiting doesn't suffer, etc.

Re: Who will our next coach be?
Stop with the Klemm nonsense. He does not have enough experience to be a head coach.
Want to bring someone in who would keep him on staff? That is one thing. Handing him the head coaching job is entirely another. One more year as an assistant head coach isn't going to cut it either.

Make Mason co-head coach and see how he handles it.

Just have to disagree Husker. X & O genious you don't have to be as HC. You can find those guys. Give me organizational and people skills 1A & 1B.

Find me one head coach in the country who got the job with 2-3 years of experience.

Re: Who will our next coach be?
I am not saying Klemm should be HC, I agree he is not ready. Switzer was a good HC because he could out recruit everyone else and he had a very good assistant staff. . As for actual coaching abilites he was not that great.

A quality HC identifies and hires excellent assistants then manages and empowers them to succeed. I'm not saying AK is the answer, but he could be... depending on our options

Did everyone know that apparently Klemm has a house in AZ? Read that on ASU rivals board. I honestly don't know how long he wants to stick around Dallas. he is a west coast guy.

He might stick in Dallas for a D1 h.c. job and a million or so per year. Just a guess.

I suspect that position, future opportunity and situation are more important to AK than the money aspect.

Yeah that's the only way I see him staying here, Orsini would have to make sure Klemm could put together a legit staff before pulling the trigger on a move.
