Conference move definitely in 2013?
Someone kept posting that we were moving for 2012, but everything (including the official release) says we are moving 2013. So there's no possibility we actually make the jump until 2013, correct?

Not sure you want to mention people by name here. Or at least make sure that person is comfortable with you doing so first.
They have to say 2013 b/c that is what the bylaws say. But I would guess they are negotiating to try and make it for 2012...a lot depends on WVU situation too I'd guess.

Unless of course ESPN and the other big conferences kill the Big East first

I believe we have passed the deadline for giving notice to CUSA for 2012, so it does become a negotiating issue with the conference.

Sorry my bad. Fixed.

Right, still negotiating with cusa. Once neg is in place with cusa, then everything will fall into place realignment wise with be, b12 and sec.

I have read elsewhere that the MWC teams are stuck but that CUSA historically has always allowed teams to leave immediately with a negoatiated buyout. Since the three CUSA teams are all sports, it makes some sense for them to go in 2012. Of course, there will be some difficult scheduling issues that will have to be resolved.

MWC teams aren't stuck. Their buyout is significantly larger given 1 year notice vs 2.
Something about their revenue share for the year PLUS 2 x the revenue share for the year. If Boise hadn't lost to TCU, their BCS cut would have put them at $7M, and their buyout for 2012 would have been $21M. (Pretty steep for only being a MWC member for 1 year) Now it is more in the $5-$7M range, which is still quite a bit considering the buy-in for the Big East gets taken out of their revenue for a couple of years. If they wait a year, it is only somewhere around $2-$3M.
Other thing is Boise's regents approved the move for 2013, not 2012, but I assume that can be changed if an appropriate agreement can be reached with MWC.
