there's a lot of CUSA butthurt going on right now. not only do a bunch of schools feel left behind, the conference lost it's biggest 3 TV markets. that will hurt their revenue stream.

Rice will hold up the Houston market for CUSA.
I'm surprised their 31 fans even noticed that UH bolted.

Rice and Tulane are the only teams we can talk smack with attendance wise

Memphis the last few years, UAB. There are a few out there.

I heard that SMU ceded alll NTSU blackball authority in C-USA over to Rice. Whether they will use it is another question.

Hopefully it will die. We need to play nonconference opponents that will help attract attendance - which Rice does not.

Do not mind leaving Rice behind on the field.
But convenience wise, it's probably one of my favorite away games. Strong turnout from Houston-area alums and Rice is in a nice part of the city.
