watched manhattan with woody allen last night. he openly dates a 17 y/o high school student. i'm a woody allen fan but that is bizarre and manhattan is felt by a lot of critics to be his best movie. glad his real life is normal. many people are now going to see that movie as pretty creepy.

The age of consent in Texas is 17. That's the case in a lot of states.

correct about 17 but woody as about a 40 year old guy is still creepy.
for anyone under 17 the rules in texas are very clear as in the link above.

The interesting thing is looking at how low the age of consent is in most of the world, including Europe, and what that means when you consider the life-destroying consequences when an adult gets involved with something that would be legal most other places.
